My Presentation
I used Prezi for my presentation. I use PowerPoint and Google Slides all the time, so I really wanted to try something new. After viewing some other Prezi examples, I decided I really wanted to learn how to use it. I took a little to figure out the little tricks of the program, but I finally managed to put together a short presentation. I still want to learn how to use colors and it is short of information, but it's a good start. Click Here to see it.
Curriculum Standard
This presentation will be used to help kick off my Constitution unit. The students work as groups, researching the time frame of the convention. They then use audacity to "go back in time" and act as news reporters. The final product is a podcast made by the teams.
METS
3- Students use a variety of technology tools and applications to promote [their] creativity.
b. Students use productivity tools to collaborate in constructing technology-enhanced models, prepare publications, and produce other creative works.
1a- Students collaborate with classmates using a variety of technology tools to plan, organize, and create a group project.
It is a cooperative learning lesson that involves technology use, summarizing and note taking. ISTE standards, the presentation will be used to Inspire, facilitating discussions that will help start the unit. It also models digital age work.
Rubric- The following pdf is one of my main rubrics I use for this lesson. It is a month long project, and each part is graded 1-4.

Additional Tools
The lest of additional tools kept me busy for quite a while too. Thank heavens for laptops! One of my favorites was Kizoa. I put together a nice slide show and was really impressed with the tools and crisp look. It seems to be great for making movies too, although bandwidth/speed may be an issue here. On-line stopwatch was also cool, although a bit random in the list. The others all required monthly fees which for the most part can be avoided by choosing other services that do similar things.
