Book Marking
So I have been excepted by diigo to have an education account.  It still limits me because I don't have a paid account but now I can form more groups.  As I set it up, I am learning where the limits are. I have set up a number of groups now that it lets me. I still like the simplicity of Symbaloo better  but the quick link/tool bar is not as good and doesn't have as many tools and functions.  In  the end, collections of subjects and links are easier to set up on my website if I want fast, simple, and easy.
The address for my Diigo site is https://groups.diigo.com/user/sailboyusa
My Symbaloo is at https://www.symbaloo.com/home/mix/13eP27ehYB
Now that I have a teacher/education account I can set up more groups which has made a big difference in it's usability.  I am not sure how shareable it is though.  It says I can't share with non-members.
A Week Later.......
I have really taken to diigo.  I like being able to get to it from anywhere.  I am using it for a lot more than school now because it is so easy to form groups.  I have to see if there is an app for my iphone......
DropBox
I am still trying to figure out the ins and outs of this one.  I use a Chrome Book all the time and this app would be awesome!  I have some pictures stored at THIS LINK  that you can look at. I am sure as I work more uses will come to me.  I am also going to set up a shared camping list and picture spot with a link for my brother-in-laws.  I have another folder for non-Google stuff that I need to get from home and school.  Again, great for iphone and Chromebook.
ISTE - As I look at the ISTE standards, having a good bookmark system that others can share fits most of the 5 standards.  1b- explore real world issues really fits with this because I can bookmark safe places for students to go and read articles.  2a,b It is certainly an adapted technology enhanced learning. Both diigo and dropbox fit all of ISTE 3.
